Where is Echuca-Moama?

Echuca-Moama is in northern Victoria on the banks of the Murray River, approximately 220kms (2.5 hours) from Melbourne. Google has prepared a map for you here

Riverboats will be returning to its traditional home at Aquatic Reserve in 2024!

Aquatic Reserve is located on Heygarth Street, Echuca - under the red gums, right in the heart of town.

I’ve lost / forgotten my ticket

If you purchased tickets online via OzTix and have lost the email sent to you, contact us and we will arrange for it to be resent.

If you arrive at the Festival Hub without your ticket you will need to present a valid form of photo ID for us to reissue.

I missed out on tickets / I can no longer attend and wish to sell my ticket, is this possible?

Yes - Riverboats have partnered with Tixel to create a safe online space to buy and sell festival tickets.

Tixel also have a waitlist you can join if tickets are currently unavailable

Where do I pick up my ticket / exchange my ticket for a wristband?

Upon arrival at the Riverboats Music Festival, patrons must present either a printed OzTix ticket for scanning OR have a mobile device ready and available with a digital copy of their ticket visible on the screen. Festival staff will then scan the ticket's QR code and issue an applicable wristband.

*A valid wristband must be worn at all times to gain access to the Riverboats Music Festival - no wristband, no entry.

Can I leave the festival and come back in?

Yes you can, your Festival wristband allows you to come and go as you please all weekend

Are there any concessions on tickets?

Riverboats does not offer a concession or seniors ticket.

From 2024 onwards, children aged 5-12 will be required to purchase a Child ticket. Children 4 and under do not require a ticket and remain free.

Youths aged from 13-17 years must purchase a Youth Ticket and MUST be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Is there a family ticket available?

Yes – A discount family ticket allows entry for x2 adults and x2 youth (13-17 years of age)

ACCOMMODATION

Where can I stay?

Echuca-Moama has a fantastic range of accommodation options available – the Echuca-Moama Tourism Association runs a booking service for the majority of accommodation operators, so for further information visit www.echucamoama.com or phone the Echuca-Moama Visitor Information Centre on 1800 804 446

ACCESS

Where can I park?

There is no public parking at Aquatic Reserve, so please leave the car at home or your accommodation and walk. Alternatively there is ample parking available throughout Echuca - just keep an eye on those parking signs.

A 2-minute passenger drop-off zone will be set up along Hare Street outside the Echuca Library. We ask that drivers stay with their vehicles at all times and follow the directions of festival crew.

Accessible Parking & Site Access

Patrons requiring wheelchair access to the Riverboats Music Festival must enter via the main Festival entrance.

If patrons requiring wheelchair access are being dropped off, please utilise the 2-minute passenger drop off zone outside the Echuca Library on Hare Street.

Accessible parking bays can then be found around Echuca. The closest all-day accessible parking bays can be found here:

Companion Cards

Riverboats supports Companion Cards. When a cardholder has purchased a Riverboats ticket and carries a valid current Companion Card, a wristband will be issued to both the cardholder and the companion.

Can I get to the festival on public transport?

Yes – V/Line run a number of train and coach services to Echuca from Melbourne, Bendigo and Shepparton – for further information visit the V-Line website

PERFORMING AT THE FESTIVAL

How do I apply to perform as part of Riverboats?

To apply to perform at Riverboats please visit our artist application page. Due to the large volume of applications received we will only be in touch if we wish to discuss your application further.

Can I busk?

Unfortunately given our small festival site we are unable to allow buskers within the festival hub. In addition, the Shire of Campaspe does not permit buskers to perform around town

OTHER BITS & PIECES

What is your chair policy?

Chairs are permitted at the festival, however we prefer low camp chairs and picnic rugs if possible

Are umbrellas allowed?

Hand-held umbrellas and shade parasols are permitted, however large market-type umbrellas and shade structures of any kind are not allowed as they can be dangerous as well as impede the view of the stage for other patrons

Can I bring my own food and drink?

As a fully licensed venue, strictly no alcohol or glass can be brought into the festival hub. You are however welcome to bring in your own food, bottled water and soft drink

Can I buy food and drink at Riverboats?

Absolutely – Riverboats has teamed up with some of Victoria’s best food trucks to serve up a delicious range of food over the festival weekend, whilst our three bars will stock a range of beer, wine and RTD spirits

Will merchandise be available at the festival?

Yes – our on-site merchandise tent will stock a range of Riverboats items, as well as albums from artists performing across the weekend

What should I wear?

February in Echuca-Moama is generally very warm, however it can get particularly chilly at night so remember to bring a jacket. We’d also suggest packing sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat – and footwear must be worn at all times

Can I bring my dog?

Pets of any kind are not permitted within the festival hub with the exception of guide dogs

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, you can, however professional audio or video recording is not permitted

Is there an ATM on site?

The Riverboats Music Festival is cashless and there are no ATMs on site. To make a purchase from our bars, food vendors or merchandise outlet, please bring a credit or EFTPOS card along with you

Is Riverboats safe for kids?

Like any major event there will be a lot of people dancing, drinking and generally having a good time at Riverboats. With this in mind it is very important that parents keep one eye on the kids at all times.

In addition (and this is very important), there is an unfenced dam on one side of the festival site, so if you have small children please keep an eye on them at all times.
